Rockefeller Gardens was the perfect place to meet our last guest of the school year, Mr. Paul MacDonald. As the landscape architect for Rockefeller Gardens and the city of Ormond Beach, Mr. MacDonald shared his experiences as our city’s project manager. According to Mr. MacDonald, teamwork, research, and attending many meetings are necessary in creating our beautiful parks. Mr. MacDonald encouraged students to read every night before bed and learn a lot about science- especially trees and plants. Also important, Mr. MacDonald emphasized, are having lifeskills such as patience, being open to new ideas, and having good listening skills. Thank you, Mr. MacDonald, for creating such beautiful places for our citizens!
